Hey - I’ve been trialling Corona on my PC with fantastic results. I’ve now got a MacBook Pro - to try out a build on iOS. I’ve installed Corona - but when I start it up, I get the following error:
Last login: Mon Oct 17 19:27:07 on console
/Applications/CoronaSDK/Corona\ Terminal ; exit;
My-MacBook-Pro:~ $ /Applications/CoronaSDK/Corona\ Terminal ; exit;
2011-10-17 19:30:11.923 Corona Simulator [193:903] Incompatible applications; app=com.anscamobile.Corona_Simulator, targetApp=com.apple.Safari
logout
[Process completed]
Anyone got an idea what this is and how I fix it? I can’t open my Corona project because of this!
Thanks in advance,
Dave. [import]uid: 82595 topic_id: 16510 reply_id: 316510[/import]
When I started using Corona I used a Macbook and after my
1st app released I changed to a Macbook Pro and So far no
problems at all, did you de-activate corona from previous
machine? [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 16510 reply_id: 61632[/import]
I have been previously using Corona for Windows (on a PC, to be clear). I’ve just done a straight-forward install of Corona on this MacBook Pro, and when I fire up Corona SDK, the terminal displays the error message.
So I’m not sure that de-activation would be relevant? I could try a re-install I suppose [import]uid: 82595 topic_id: 16510 reply_id: 61634[/import]
Damn - you’re right! I’ve just found the help section about deactivation / use on another machine! I will try this now - many thanks! (I shouldn’t have doubted you)
Complete reboot - and now it works (!). Yay thanks again.
One follow-on question. I have been using a DropBox folder for my lua files, images etc. How do I repoint this Corona on the Mac to point to my DropBox folders?
Thx in advance. [import]uid: 82595 topic_id: 16510 reply_id: 61657[/import]
Sorry - I don’t use currently Windows and perhaps misunderstood you.
In any case I’m really happy to hear it’s working now

PS - RE case sensitivity, device builds are very much that way so if you build for Android and use a cap where there isn’t one, or no cap where there should be one, you will likely get problems on device. Just a heads up [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 16510 reply_id: 61742[/import]
