Progress bar for asynchronous download of big files?

Hi,

(how) is it possible to show a progress bar for downloads?

I’m using network.download, and it would be very nice to show how much data has already been downloaded (e.g. for video files).

Any ideas/hints/recommendations?

Thx,

Thomas

I realize that this post is well over a year old, but just wanted to reply for anyone else. As far as I understand it Ansca hasn’t provided a way to be able to monitor the progress of downloads. Hope its a feature in the future. [import]uid: 19620 topic_id: 7981 reply_id: 114837[/import]

It seems there is not solution yet for this… [import]uid: 44013 topic_id: 7981 reply_id: 142906[/import]

Yea, I just don’t understand why something like this wouldn’t be a priority for CoronaLabs to impliment. These network download api’s are SUPER important for serious app development. I have a successfuly app out right now that I want to allow the user to download additional content, but the network api is so limited that I am second guessing if Corona can meet my needs to keep my app as legit as it already is. Yes, I totally agree! [import]uid: 44013 topic_id: 7981 reply_id: 142911[/import]
