Prototyping on hardware

Hey makers of Corona, have you seen Codify? Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jaIhEXZ7WW4#!

Now that looks pretty amazing, but I can also see how limiting it can be. So my question is, can something like this be in Coronas future? [import]uid: 120 topic_id: 16987 reply_id: 316987[/import]

That is one of the best things to be released for October, it is by TwoLivesLeft, an Australian software development company. It is a onDevice editor for Lua and also renders the code on the fly.

you can read a bit more about it here Codify Review

I was working on something similar, but since the Corona Engine is sandboxed, the only guys that can actually create something like this is Ansca themselves.

cheers,

This is really an incredible idea. A hybrid text editor with some innovative GUI touches!
I think it’s a great tool for teaching Lua to kids and new programmers.

The simple auto-complete “pop-up” color picker is brilliant! instantly explaining how a seemingly arcane list of values relates to the real word idea.

Maybe some of those small touches will find their way into Corona Project Manager’s text editor. [import]uid: 5339 topic_id: 16987 reply_id: 63793[/import]
