Wonder if anyone else has had a similar issue as this or knows what the problem might be?
I’m just building my first project and I want to test it on a device before I go much further along the development route.
I’ve got my dev certificate installed, added my devices, created an app id, created a provisioning profile, created my ios build (using a trial account)… and this runs fine in the xcode simulator.
However when I then copy over the .app file into xcode to test on an actual device I get the following error message:
“This provisioning profile does not have a valid signature (or it has a valid one, but untrusted signature)”
I’ve tried deleting the certificates and profiles from the provisioning portal, and redoing them - no luck
I’ve tried cleaning out the Keychain access just in case there was a clash there - no luck
I’ve tried building one of the samples and installing that to my device - no luck
I’ve tried installing via itunes - no luck
The only thing I can think of is that I’m running xcode 4.2 and that is creating the issue. Unfortunately I cant upgrade to 4.3 as my mac is too old to upgrade to lion. So could someone confirm or deny my suspicion before I shell out for a new mac??
