Provisioning Profile Issue

Wonder if anyone else has had a similar issue as this or knows what the problem might be?

I’m just building my first project and I want to test it on a device before I go much further along the development route.

I’ve got my dev certificate installed, added my devices, created an app id, created a provisioning profile, created my ios build (using a trial account)… and this runs fine in the xcode simulator.

However when I then copy over the .app file into xcode to test on an actual device I get the following error message:
“This provisioning profile does not have a valid signature (or it has a valid one, but untrusted signature)”

I’ve tried deleting the certificates and profiles from the provisioning portal, and redoing them - no luck
I’ve tried cleaning out the Keychain access just in case there was a clash there - no luck
I’ve tried building one of the samples and installing that to my device - no luck
I’ve tried installing via itunes - no luck

The only thing I can think of is that I’m running xcode 4.2 and that is creating the issue. Unfortunately I cant upgrade to 4.3 as my mac is too old to upgrade to lion. So could someone confirm or deny my suspicion before I shell out for a new mac??

Do you have any sub folders? Have you checked your certs/profs in Keychain/Xcode to ensure no errors are being shown there? [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 32048 reply_id: 127756[/import]

Nope no sub folders… have checked keychain and xcode and nothing showing in their either

Tried with the clock sample and having the same problem with that

Have managed to uploaded to the device via testflightapp tho, so at least I can test that way.

Going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new mac tho as xcode 4.2 isnt compatible with iOS6 so hopefully that will solve the problem *crosses fingers*
