Public release

Hello,

The last public release was back to last year. (2018.3326)

Is the daily build sure to make a new application ?

Thanks,

Yvan.

The latest daily builds are pretty stable. 2019.3490 is the last 32-bit version of Android. Versions after that are 64-bit compliant but we are still chasing down some bugs with it.

You can update existing Android apps with 2019.3490 if the app existed before 8/1/2019. If you have a new Android app, you will need the latest daily build to submit to the store as of now. We are chasing down a wake lock issue that’s triggering bad behavior issues for some Corona developers.

If you’re building for iOS and you’ve updated Xcode to 10.3, you will need the latest daily build to avoid a warning about OS/SDK mis-matches.

So is it better to download the latest daily build? and why hasn’t the public release been updated for a while now?

Yes, we recommend using the latest daily build. We would like to create a new public build, but Google and Apple are throwing a lot of changes that we have to update for and we can’t find a good time to work in a public build process.
