I had a great idea for an app. I made it in a couple of ours -mostly reusing the code from another app I was working on… Now I am waiting for Google to resolve som problems before I can get a developer account and publish on the play store.
While I am waiting, I was thinking if I could publish on Amazon store… Can Corona make a package for Amazon or can I use the same I made for android?
You just need to select “Amazon” from the build menu and that’s it.
Note: If you publish to Amazon Underground (free games and apps paid by the hour of use) you need a unique package id.
The $99 /year for an Amazon account has put me off. a bit… This is my first finished app, so I think I will wait for Google to solve my problems and focus on publishing on the play store before moving on.
I can then research later if should go for Amazon or IOS next as they both cost an upkeep of $99 /year.

Q: How much does Amazon charge for using its developer program? The program is free. You pay nothing to create a developer account, use Amazon APIs, and submit apps.
You are absolutely right… I can’t find it again. I am sure I saw “$99 /year”. But maybee it was an older post on their page. I was gone as soon as I saw that so didn’t check the date.
