Publishing iOS app on VM "Mac"?

I understand that it is impossible for now to run Corona code on Corona simulator on a VM Mac (at least not a VM Lion Mac) but is it possible to build the app in VM, then publish it through XCode etc. in VM as well? Has anyone tried? [import]uid: 160496 topic_id: 28254 reply_id: 328254[/import]

It is not officially supported just to be very clear, although one of my cousins was successful doing this with Snow Leopard, IIRC. (Though you need to use Lion now to support 5.1 and the new iPad, if memory serves.)

There are a few people using macincloud.com for this, that could be an option? [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 28254 reply_id: 114193[/import]

To update: yes, it is possible to build iOS apps in a mac VM running on Windows. I just went through the whole process of getting certificates, setting profiles, etc - all on such a VM. After build, I uploaded it through testflightapp and voila! [import]uid: 160496 topic_id: 28254 reply_id: 114638[/import]

Hey Mike - that’s awesome to hear!

Was this with Snow Leopard or with Lion?

Thanks very much for updating the thread  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 28254 reply_id: 114657[/import]

Yes, that was on a Lion VM. And although I could build, the simulator would not run - was all black - just as I expected because of the lack of correct OpenGL drivers. But no biggie - I develop and run the sim on a Windows machine. [import]uid: 160496 topic_id: 28254 reply_id: 114678[/import]

That’s very, very interesting indeed - thanks for the additional info!
