Pulley Joint Woes

Hi

I am struggling with a pulley joint and wondered if anyone has hit the same issue and maybe found a work around.

it seems like its impossible to raise an object up to the actual anchor point, so its up tight to it. There always seems to be a reasonable fair of slack where the object hangs from. Now I can kind of hack it if I drop to the pulley ratio down to say 0.1. However this has the side effect of firing my object up the pulley way to fast which is no good either.

I wondered if anyone had any ideas on this as I really need to get my object up really tight o the anchor point to get my desired effect.

Any ideas?

I don’t know anything about joints in Corona. I would look for a property that controls the joint’s floppiness or sets its direction explicitly. then set a listener to watch for when the distance between the thing being pulled gets very small, to make it go stiff in its rotation ability, but not in its ability to fall.

Sorry I’ll have to look up the code and see what it offers. [import]uid: 63787 topic_id: 11237 reply_id: 40957[/import]
