If I buy a one year subscription and publish my app in the first year, then in the second year I did not continue the subscription, will the app in the app store become … broken/invalid? [import]uid: 56129 topic_id: 9399 reply_id: 309399[/import]
Obviously not. The only thing your subscription is for is to let you build for the App Store. Anything that happens beyond this stage is between you and Apple. [import]uid: 51516 topic_id: 9399 reply_id: 34362[/import]
To add a little more info here;
Along with your Corona subscription (to create apps with Corona) you also need an Apple subscription to publish to the store, which costs $99 per year.
Your apps will stay up as long as you pay this fee to Apple yearly.
As Seth said, Corona is a separate thing. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 9399 reply_id: 34366[/import]
I see, thanks for the reply. [import]uid: 56129 topic_id: 9399 reply_id: 34793[/import]
I am an apple developer and have 2 apps on the app store ATM.
I am looking into using Corona SDK to create a game for the ios platform.
My Question is this, if I purchase the ios only license ($199/year) which will allow me to distribute my app to the app store within 1 year (“Distrubution”), what happens to the SDK after 1 year?
I assume that it disables the ability of the SDK to build a “Distribution” build (is that why an internet connection is required to verify SDK subscription status?) version of my app thus reverting the SDK back to the evaluation version. Also, doing any upgrades or changes to my app that was created within the paid year would not be possible after the expiration date of the SDK unless I renewed.
Thanks for a great product! Just want to have all of the facts before I consider buying. [import]uid: 51559 topic_id: 9399 reply_id: 34887[/import]
