When Corona will be open source will it be possible to finally use the full mediation network ironSource?
This would be awesome and a great opportunity for a lot of people to increase ad income!
I don’t believe Vlad or Rob will update the ironSource plugin to do full mediation even after it is open sourced. That plugin is fairly old and doesn’t support it. There are already 2 other ironsource community plugins that I am aware of that do support mediation. One from Scott H that he will probably include in his store (at a cost).
My option (based on my data):
That being said form my experience ironSource is not an improvement compared to Appodeal when it comes to revenue, reporting, stability or support (although other people might disagree). I did last year an A/B testing Appodeal vs Ironsource and Appodeal beat Ironsource in eCPM for all ad types. In my testing I did not see any significant difference in stability. Appodeal support and reporting is superior to Ironsource. Appodeal usually responds quicker to questions and their dashboard very rarely is missing data (something that I am always fighting ironsource with). Some of the math that ironsource uses is also questionable (specifically their ARPDAU is significantly inflated) and some of the terms for fill-rate are either confusing or questionable.

Thank you for your info. I just know about one developer (using Unity) using ironSource who was able to triple his ad revue by changing from normal ad monetization to using mediation.
I would be interested if they posted any data. I love numbers. If you have the link I would love to see it.
