Question about tinting

Hi all,
I’ve noticed it seems that when I “tint” an image on the playfield the “tinting” does not happen until I do something else to the image, like move it slightly.

The call that I’m using to tint the image is:

pieces:setFillColor( 128, 0, 0, 96 )

Is there an easier or better way to “force” a redraw of the image to cause the tinting to occur immediately? I’m guessing the setFillColor routine does not cause a redraw in itself?

Hey Dennis, we are actually aware of this as it has been filed as a bug.

The case number is 12406 (for future reference) and it is something we are working on.

I don’t know that you can view it (I only have a staff fogbugz account I’m afraid) but the number is so in daily builds when there is a fix you can reference it.

Right now I can tell you it is an open bug and I’ve added a note to it to indicate it has come up again in this thread.
