Really great work!
My question is will this cost as a whole or will there be IAP?

Hi. It’s pretty rare that someone names directly in the title of a forums post.
Please note: I am preparing to release this tool to my ‘Closed Beta’ testers tomorrow 06 APR 2016. So, I’ll keep this answer terse for now. I will append more details after the release as well as some video link(s).
For now, let me say…
I plan to sell GDT for a reasonable price. I also plan to allow users to purchase ‘credits’ and then to use these credits to unlock additional features as needed. This will let me keep the price low while also allowing folks to customize the tool to match their needs.
For the one time purchase price (TBD) you will get the ‘Game Developer Toolkit for Corona SDK’ (working title). It will include these features at a minimum:
I may also include some additional game templates, but to be honest everything is up in the air right now.
Again, right in the middle of prepping the closed beta release… so I’ll answer back later with more details.
Cheers,
Ed
I was just wondering. If you make the tool paid then someone will end up letting other users download it for free or at a discounted price. It’s a great tool and not so great people may take advantage and try making themselves some money.
What you can do is make the program free but to use it you need to purchase a key.
So the user opens the program and types the key they bought in and you check the server if it’s correct.
You would generate a key on a server send it to the email they provided and store it.
That’s how i would do it.
Also IAP.
I’m kinda one of those people that can find back doors on programs that are on windows because if you know where you’re looking you will definitely be able to hack it and get free coin/credits.
If you’d like i can give it a whirl and see if i can “hack” it. Or you can ask one of your already testers.
I’m not sure how you made your whole credit system work so i can’t say anything for sure.
Great work! Keep it up!

Wait what?
Wait so i’m guessing you(Alex) and maybe others think i’m just trying to get the program before release date?
I’d be more than happy to wait for it to get released and buy it and then test it. No problem in that.
Hi again. Thanks for the interest and thoughts. I am putting some effort into security, but I’m not pouring huge effort into it.
I long ago learned that you can’t beat folks who don’t want to pay. They’ll find a way around the system. I’ve had my templates resold, I even had one of my books, converted to e-format and resold (this was before e-textbooks were commonplace on Amazon). While it makes me sad, it no longer makes me (too) mad.
As you’ve shown significant interest in my tool, I would be happy to let you test the beta purely to test it. No need to try to hack it. I’d be much more interested in your thoughts on how to make it better.
Meanwhile, I’m still on the hook for more details, but that will have to wait as I’m totally knackered.
Cheers,
Ed
Hey! Great! I do have some quite easy but may be good ways for security. I’ll email you shortly.

Oh that seems like something I would do haha.
