Question on overlay objects with the live camera feed

Hello,

I plan to try out using the live camera feed on a shape like they show in their tutorial. And they also show how they placed fish moving around which was cool. But here is something that may be hard or impossible. Is there a way to add an object like a plane but have is show in the same position that you move the camera to? Meaning it doesn’t stay on the screen when you move the camera. It would be in one place where it will appear when I move the camera to that position. Kind of like storing the object at a gps location and you have to point the camera there to see it.

Does anyone know how to do that? I guess it could actually be done with a compass calculation? Maybe know that the object is at 190 degrees from where you are pointing and when you turn around to that degree on the compass it will show. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Warren

I actually put a post in the jobs forum for someone to do this. So if you can do it and want to make some money at the same time then let me know.

I tried all of the sample apps that gave the different degrees and angles returned by your phone and I couldn’t figure it out. I just don’t think there is a way to tell which direction the phone is facing when you are holding it straight up/down is there?
