Is it possible to read from stdin (console)?

I doubt there is a way to get input onto stdin on a live device without some form of Jailbreak/Rooting of the device.  Since the simulator is setup to give you device like behavior, I doubt there is a way.   What are you planning on inputting that you need this for?
