received "kAMDDeviceFamilyNotSupported" error popup when installing sample app on iPhone device

I am trying out the Corona trial, beta 5. (noticed this morning that beta 6 is now available).
I followed all instructions in DeviceBuildGuide.pdf. I am a registered developer, and I’m using a development mobile provision to try out the “WebOverlay” sample on my device.

In the “Testing your App on you iPhone” section, in iPhone Configuration Utility, I am attempting to install my app by pressing the “install” button. I get a “kAMDDeviceFamilyNotSupported” popup dialog. Google doesn’t tell me anything about this error, and a search through your forums yields no help either. Hoping you’ve heard of it.

BTW - the picture you show in the DeviceBuildGuide.pdf above “The final step is to click on your device name”… is misleading. Your textual description is completely accurate, but the picture shows the user selecting the “Devices” category under “Library” - which shows a very similar looking Applications tab, but NO INSTALL/UNINSTALL buttons. That took me a couple of minutes to figure out. Helps to read, I know. [import]uid: 7577 topic_id: 1436 reply_id: 301436[/import]

I tried a build produced with Beta 6 of the Corona SDK. Still have the same error. [import]uid: 7577 topic_id: 1436 reply_id: 4012[/import]

Have you tried installing your app using Xcode’s Organizer or dragging the app into iTunes? [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 1436 reply_id: 4013[/import]

No I hadn’t, but I have now.

Interesting iPhone Configuration Utility told me my device was provisioned and ready, but Xcode Organizer told me it wasn’t. I should have tried the other way. These Apple tools are always fickle.

It works with Xcode organizer just fine. Very, very odd. [import]uid: 7577 topic_id: 1436 reply_id: 4014[/import]

Glad to see it now works. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 1436 reply_id: 4019[/import]
