I was trying to find some information on how software updates are handeled with Corona and the iStore or Google Play. Is it possible to create patches for your app? How would you handle for example migrations between older (local) user data from your app to an updated structure? How often are we allowed to update, and do we have to go through some sort of approval system for each update on the sore?
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

This is app store related, not Corona related. You release updates to the iOS App Store and Google Play the same way you would if you built native apps. As far as handling updated data structures, you’ll need to provide more details. That is very specific to your application.
