If you’ve messed around with old school sprite sheets you should know that there’s usually purple where there should be transparency. I was simple wondering if there was an easy way to filter this out in corona.

Not at present. I think masking is coming in the next release, at least I hope it is. And for normal images too…

I don’t know of a way in Corona, but I use Pixelmator for most of my graphics work, and it can make very short work of it with the magic erase tool. Select the purple, hit erase, and it’s all transparent. It goes without saying that Photoshop can easily handle it too.
If you don’t want to spend the money on Photoshop, Pixelmator is an excellent alternative at about 1/20th the price.
