Participants Needed For Research on Incremental, Interactive Type-checking for Lua
We are looking for volunteers to take part in a study of Incremental, Interactive Type-checking for Lua.The study investigates how type systems improve interactive development environments. The study requires the participants to implement a text-adventure game interactively in Lua, using a specific editor that will be supplied to them. Upon completion of the required tasks, the participants are asked to complete a survey that will help us identify what kind of effect a type system have on interactive development style and, eventually, how to maximize the utilization of interactive environments. The participants will have twenty-two days to complete the implementation and the survey. The participants will have to submit their code with the completed survey. To be eligible to participate in this study, you need to be at least a novice Lua programmer.
All participants who complete the survey will receive a $50 CAD honorarium for participation. Participants who withdraw before completing the survey or submit the survey with all the questions unanswered will not be compensated. The survey should take approximately 30 minutes.
If you are interested in participating or have further questions, please contact me.
Thank you.
We appreciate your help!
