  • 1 Portugal, i really need to build [import]uid: 91584 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115349[/import]

Let make us build offline as Livecode and many others SDK do !!
This protectionism is outdated. [import]uid: 5578 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115355[/import]

To Ansca staff: Will it take long to resolve the server problem? We need to build!!! [import]uid: 141611 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115359[/import]

Online builds are ridiculous, especially in situations like this! Give us offline builds like Gideros SDK and every other software package! [import]uid: 44435 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115365[/import]

The server problem is a big issue, the other one is that it can happen without any reaction from ANSCA Staff. At leadt we could get a short message like “We are aware, we try to fix”.

We even don’t know if somebody knows there’s a problem !!!

Hope some transparency after this long long bug [import]uid: 5905 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115378[/import]

Checking in with build error here. “A device build error occured on server.” Thank you. [import]uid: 84873 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115379[/import]

“I’m a little mad that its still down, usually its fixed within the hour. Can someone from Ansca chime in? PEACH! I’m shining the bat signal for you :)”

Not being in the office I’m somewhat limited at this second in what I can ascertain - I can tell you that the team is definitely aware of this issue and that if it has not been resolved yet it will be ASAP.

You should hear something super soon, although I am hoping that at the time of posting this has been resolved. (I have just tried to build and have been able to do so without issue.)

Sorry I took a little to see your signal, time difference etc. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115380[/import]

11:50 a.m. EST and my Amazon Kindle Fire build has gone through. [import]uid: 98804 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115384[/import]

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. The server is now up and running.

Thank you all for your patience! [import]uid: 140864 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115385[/import]

It seems to be OK from East of France, thank youuuuuu.!

Works here too, thanks! [import]uid: 88922 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115387[/import]

It works again for me now.

Yay!

Hello Peach, thanks for the message.

I was aware we would probably need to wait until California wakes up (time difference), so I just focused on something else in the meantime.
But of course this happened precisely when I needed to build a demo for a meeting - ever heard of Murphy’s Law?

I went to the meeting with screenshots from the simulator, and the clients were happy. Pheeew

Everyone - again our sincere apologies. This is an unacceptably long time for the servers to be down (any amount of time is bad, but this was too long). We are looking into the cause of the issue and promise we will fix it and do what’s necessary so that it doesn’t happen again. I will try to get back with a more full explanation as soon as possible.

In Spain it works fine! [import]uid: 141611 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115393[/import]

No problems Peach, its back up now and I am able to build again. That’s the longest outage I have seen from you guys tho, and was a little worried when nobody from Ansca had commented about it.

I might need a bigger signal  [import]uid: 58885 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115394[/import]

Working now  [import]uid: 118482 topic_id: 28602 reply_id: 115395[/import]

Thank you to the whole team for fixing the server issue.
@DavidRangel said it was an “unacceptable long time”, but my being in the field makes me sympathize with the whole Corona Staff. I don’t want to say that “goind down is good”, but we all know that sometimes shit happens because we can’t control everything.

And… (just for the record) while the server was down I had so many things to continue to develop and test locally that it didn’t really matter.

GO GO GO!!! Have a nice weekend you all!
