[Resolved] Build error

Hi,I am new to Corona SDK…

I have installed corona and I have managed to build my first app from the Simulator(one of the sample apps). But now no matter what I am trying to build I am getting this error “[Build error #5] Build Faild. Check the console for errors” This error occurs when the build process is about 50%(Connecting to server), in the console I don’t have any errors.
Is this a server problem, or do I have to do something on my end?

If it is a server problem, how long will it take to be fixed? [import]uid: 159387 topic_id: 28228 reply_id: 328228[/import]

Hey there,

Are you still having this issue?

I haven’t ever experienced this build error before but did dig up a thread about it; http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2011/04/26/build-error-5-build-failed-check-console-window-errors

There are various suggestions in there that may help if it is on going.

Please let me know - I will try and talk to some other members of the team about it if it isn’t resolved when you next post.

Peach

Edit: I see you posted this multiple times, please don’t make dupe threads, it makes the forum messy! http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2011/05/05/forum-rules-and-guidelines [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 28228 reply_id: 114047[/import]

Sorry for the duplicated post, it won’t happen again.

I have managed to figure it out, maybe someone else will benefit out of this.
I am using eclipse+lua plugin to write my apps. I have also setup the eclise to open the corona simulator when hitting the run button from eclipse, this is crushing the build. If I use the simulator to open my project it works fine. This is just a little disappointing but I can live with it. [import]uid: 159387 topic_id: 28228 reply_id: 114254[/import]

That’s fine, I just have to lecture people about it when it happens

Thanks for posting a follow up explaining the cause of the problem and your solution; sorry to hear your Eclipse setup was the issue. (I haven’t used it but know many favor it.) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 28228 reply_id: 114287[/import]
