Latest builds (I can’t tell from which one exactly) make my mac hot, using >80% of CPU.
My legs can tell you it was not the before… [import]uid: 9328 topic_id: 27293 reply_id: 327293[/import]

I don’t think we changed anything recently in general code that would affect this. Maybe you have a runaway process. Try rebooting your machine.
The Welcome Screen takes 5-8% of my CPU on my lowly mid 2010 Mac Mini which is not going to make anything toasty.

OK. Thx for the feedback
Edit : reboots don’t change anything… >80 % cpu use of my macbook air … [import]uid: 9328 topic_id: 27293 reply_id: 111055[/import]
Does Build 704 (current stable) have that problem?
Does closing the Welcome Window help any?
What version of OS X are you running? What hardware model of Mac?

I don’t remember if 704 has the same pb, still I think not (I have to test it back but my app uses features in daily builds only)
I never have the welcome windwo open.
I have latest lion os. [import]uid: 9328 topic_id: 27293 reply_id: 111389[/import]
Wait, are you running a project? We don’t know anything about your project and it could very well take up all your CPU depending on what you do. That’s not necessarily the simulator’s fault.
