[Resolved] Lost my developer folder (ios simulator, instruments...) when i upgraded to OS 4.3.2 from 4.2?

Ok guys, I subscribed yesterday and so I needed to setup adhoc and distribution provisionings. Before doing that I updated to OS 4.3.2 which went well but now I ONLY see xcode 4.3.2 app but none of my other stuff like IOS simulator and so on? I can see that there is a developer folder (with that simulator, instruments…) in the waste basket! I guess it is because I was asked if i wanted to get ride of OS 4.2 and I said yes. I heard that the mac mini do not like to have both present.

Is this normal that upgrading to OS 4.3.2 would delete (move to trash the developer folder)? I will assume not! I also assume that I cannot just simply move back some of the items like simulator and instruments to my utility folder?

Anyway to fix that?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mo

EDIT: maybe this will be helpful. I downloaded xcode 4.3.2 from the MAC store… [import]uid: 100814 topic_id: 25377 reply_id: 325377[/import]

Hey @Mo, do not panic!
As I read all you wrote above, I can say you did EVERYTHING RIGHT my friend!

Yes, you are supposed to download the new Xcode 4.3 exactly from the AppleStore, that is right. It`s the “new way” of the Apple regarding “easy” future updates I think.

Regarding your “other tools” (instruments, simulator, etc) YES, they used to be into the “older” “Developer” folder on Mac BUT now these all kind of tools are “INSIDE” the own Xcode! Yes, theyre like built-in and so youll be able to find them out just having a look of your new 4.3 Xcode. (sorry but I do not remember exactly which folder into Xcode they are right now, but I know they are there at some place).

EDIT: I found it and here I can show you:

Summary: You do not have to FIX nothing. You`re FIXED already man. Haha.
Have a nice weekend.
