[Resolved] Stupid question...how to restart reset a Corona test app on my iphone

I am new at this so apologies in advance.

I figured out how to provision, build, and use xcode to transfer a test app. I used the Timer available in the SampleCode folder from Corona. I installed the ‘Timer’ app on my phone. It runs as expected the first time. Then I exit the app by pressing the home button on my Iphone 4S. When i return the ‘Timer’ app it still is where I left it.

How does one effectively ‘rerun’ the installed app? Should I have some sort of runtime exit statement??? None of the examples have anything like that.

Any help is welcome.

you need to shut the app down completely.
after you exit the program tap home twice till the “taskbar” (or whatever fancy apple name that thing has  ) appears, hold the icon there till it got the MINUS, and touch the MINUS.

many people, new to iphone and ipod touch, dont know that the apps arent completely shut down by just pressing hold.
i think my sister still got all apps running she ever started since she bought the iphone.

here are some screenshots and maybe a better explaination:

Another way is going to your build settings and uncommente the following line:
[lua]UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend = true, – uncomment to quit app on suspend[/lua]

that should restart your game/app everytime you tap home and reenter it.
but dont forget to comment it out in the end again, as you surely don’t want people to have to restart your game or app after they got a phone call, or just checked for a mail, or whatever  [import]uid: 11133 topic_id: 32799 reply_id: 130415[/import]
