[RESOLVED] unable to register

I have registered online. I have downloaded the free SDK, and installed the program in the Applications folder.  When I try to open the Simulator, it invited me to register. Then it sticks at the “connecting to license server” stage.

The error report is 283 pages long. I have saves it as a Word doc, and this site won’t let me attach it.

Hello @beinginvoice,

Are you trying to register from behind a firewall or from some kind of proxy server? Do you have strict anti-virus software in place which may be blocking the process? Can you please provide more details on the operating system you’re using?

Sincerely,

Brent Sorrentino

Thanks for asking, Brent.  No firewall, no proxy server, no strict anti-virus software.  Using Macbook Pro, OS X 10.8.5.  Loads of RAM, loads of storage.

Hi @beinginvoice,

OK, just to confirm, did you download the latest public build (2013.1202) from this site?

https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/corona-sdk

Thanks,

Brent

Yes I did.  And I’ve today re-installed from scratch, and it’s now registered and opening ok.  Thanks for your attention, Brent.

Cheers

Glad to help Flloyd! Enjoy trying out the SDK, and let me know if you have any further specific questions.

Take care,

Brent
