Resubmit app or appeal rejection?

Hi!

I’m in shit creek: my app was supposed to launch tomorrow because wednesday an article about my game appears in a national newspaper. Now it seems Apple rejected my game because I had a test leaderboard in the app (under iTunes Connect) that I don’t use. Apparently this false under some sort of “false claims”, claiming to support gamecenter while you don’t.

Okay now, the fix took all of 5 seconds: delete the leaderboard and disable gameCenter for the app. But the big question is: how do I get my app reviewed in 24 hours??? Or at least, which is faster: resubmitting a 1.1. version of the same app or appealing the rejection?

thanks,

You can request an expedite app review. I did it twice for similar issues and they usually approve the app in 1/2 days. If you’ve already asked expedite for other apps it would probably take longer than a few days though.

Save your expedite(s) for when you truly need it. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 25439 reply_id: 102823[/import]

Well of course, expedite reviews are something to use only when really need it… an article on a national newspaper could definitely be important enough (Request type: Time-sensitive event), but it’s all up to you to…

Generally, besides using an expedite review request, I doubt you can have a review in less than a few days [import]uid: 9158 topic_id: 25439 reply_id: 102824[/import]

If it were me, I’d request it. Launch is such an important aspect of the game/app’s success. Timing it perfectly is imperative especially if you have an event or article being released nationally. I just did it because there was a bug in my game that stopped them from progressing and it was approved the same day that they notified me they would expedite it. Only problem is that if something happens and you need an expedited review again they will be less apt to grant it.

Good luck. [import]uid: 63800 topic_id: 25439 reply_id: 102825[/import]

If you are using expedite request make sure you state very clearly and early on in the request that you have an article out tomorrow. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 25439 reply_id: 102857[/import]

Well, there goes nothing: after two days of waiting I got a standard e-mail saying that what I actually am requesting is a rejection appeal followed by a copy/pasted block of ‘correct’ links sorted per support category. Nothing about my app itself, no internal forwarding to the rejection appeal board and no speedy handling whatsoever.

I just lost two more days of unavailability on iTunes while the article is out tomorrow :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:
