Since selling my previous company Otter Studios a year ago, I’ve been working on an ambitious project - a football (soccer) management game.
Along the lines of the baseball sim Out Of The Park Baseball, you can manage in any season from 1946 to the present day, with all the real players, transfers, manager appointments, competitions etc. Just compiling the data was a huge undertaking, as there’s no football equivalent of the Lahman database. This data then has to be parsed to extrapolate a career curve for each of the 26,500 players.
The game is about 4-6 weeks away from starting beta testing. I’m pretty proud of how far I’ve got in just a year, and I think it shows just what Corona is capable of.
