revenue limit ?

I didn’t understand what this i means by revenue limit like when I clicked on pricing tab. 3  versions of corona SDK came up. The first one was free but didn’t mention anything about revenue but the other 2 version did mention revenue.

I am thinking it means like you can’t put a price on your  app if u build your app in first  version of corona. like it has to be free or you have to pay for the enterprise version of corona to make money of  you app right ??

Hi @farukhsoccer98,

I can clarify this point: you can definitely make money with your app using any version of Corona, including the free version (meaning, you can sell it at a certain price in the market, include in-app purchases, ads, etc.). The “revenue limit” only applies to the more powerful Corona Enterprise packages, for apps which potentially reach high earning marks.

Take care,

Brent

so if make my app and sell it .99cents  and somehow  I made over 10,000 , is that all my profit or does corona takes interest.

(say i made my app in free version of corona)

Hi @farukhsoccer98,

Corona will not take a percentage/interest on that. You will, however, need to pay Apple and/or Google their percentage, but that is standard for every app developer regardless of the development platform.

Brent

ok about the google percentage you mean like one-time fee payment or interest that google takes because i know apple has that $99 a year thing but i heard that google app store is like you just pay $25 one time fee and that’s it right?

Hi @farukhsoccer98,

Yes, you will need to pay those fee(s) to Apple and/or Google, and also you will need to pay a percentage of every sale of the app. So, if your app is 99 cents, Apple and/or Google will take a percentage of that each time.

Brent

ok, do you know how much is it ?

30%

Apple gets $99 + tax USD per year for the Privilege  to be a developer.

Google gets a $25 one time fee to become a developer.  Microsoft is similar.

Then both Apple and Google take 30% of your app sales including in-app purchases.
