Revmob interstitial video ad playing in background

Hei there, its me again with a revmob/iOS problem.

Sometimes, when the interstitial Ad is a video, it somehow gets started and plays in the background. I know this becuase it plays sound and when I arrive at some point in the game where an interstitial should be showed, the currently playing one is foregrounded and finishes.

Can this happen when I load an interstitial when there is already one loaded?

Anybody ever experienced something like this?

Update:

It did only happen on an iPad mini for now, on an iPhone 4s it never happened unitl now. 

The ads are different an the two devices, that might be the reason…

It did not happen again. I wrote something on the revmob forum, but I am not sure if it was seen.

I think they removed this problematic ad…

It happened again.

I got some answer from Revmob and they told me that they only show App Ads, but I saw already many times some non App related Ads, something like a comercial for a laptop offer and for some inventory store.

Actually, by clicking on the laptop ad, I was send to an InMobi page.

Please, this is kinda urgent, might somebody explain what is happening here? (Why I am showing inMobi Ads, when only having set up a RevMob account? And why does the fullscreen (video) ad starts playing in the background as soon as it finished loading? (On ios only))

Another update:

As I just saw in the revmob panel, I actually never accepted videos for the interstitial ads, the option ‘Accepts Video’ is unticked.

Does anybody else see this behaviour or has an ideia what might be the problem?

Hi Felix,

We have tried to replicate the issue you are having but had no success.
However, we saw the airplane simulation ad that you mentioned and detected that it came from Corona and not Revmob. We could not listen to any sound coming from this ad, though.

What we did noticed is that when a rewarded video is played, the audio of your app keeps playing as well. That shouldn’t happen.
We will try to contact the Corona support team and will get back to you as soon as we have more information


Might somebody from Corona please clearify why my game shows corona Ads when I only use the Revmob plugin? I mean I have absolutely no problem in sharing my revenue with Corona, but this has to be at least noted somewhere… And it also falsens my statistics, if it is not logged in the RevMob panel.

Can you please CC’ me in on the email conversation you have with Revmob? 

If you don’t mind, that would be very helpful.

Are you using Corona ads?

If you’re only using RevMob and only making calls to the RevMob plugin api, then ads are only going to be coming from RevMob. You have to explicitly use another ad provider for ads to come from it. 

What I’m saying is that we do not inject ads from other providers into your app. The only ads that will show in your app are ads that you have specified to show.
