Speck is just your normal alien teenager. While his parents are away, he thinks it’d be fun to go on a little joy ride with his buddy. But the ship turns out to be a little more than he can handle and he ends up going through a black hole, possibly lost forever. Help Speck get back home by going through black holes and ricochet off asteroids, planets and satellites! Watch out for the sun and enemy spaceships!

45 Levels
OpenFeint Leaderboards
Sweet Opening and Ending Comics
Guidance System option

For Android there is also a lite version for free. The lite version for iOS still has to go through the approval process.

Hope everyone likes it! [import]uid: 24628 topic_id: 12503 reply_id: 312503[/import]

Looks good, can’t wait to try it!

I have a question about OpenFeint, did you

  1. publish the game and then waited for OpenFeint approval
    -or-
  2. waited for OpenFeint approval and then publish your game? [import]uid: 14218 topic_id: 12503 reply_id: 45674[/import]

Thanks spoggles!

I totally forgot about the OpenFeint approval process, so thanks for the reminder. So the answer would be 1, I published it and now I’ll have to wait for OpenFeint approval.

The list of things to do when you release an app is kinda big. I should probably make a list of things to do so I don’t space out and forget something else. [import]uid: 24628 topic_id: 12503 reply_id: 45679[/import]

Any chance you could post that list on here? [import]uid: 14218 topic_id: 12503 reply_id: 45686[/import]

I know this isn’t a complete list, but here are at least some things that I thought of thinking back to what I did:

Pre-release:
Make screen shots for app stores
Make YouTube promotional video
Set up Twitter account
Facebook page (I didn’t do this, I guess I still could though)
Get developer account for Android, Apple, and Amazon
Test on as many devices as possible
Decide on key words
Create app description
Create cool app icon in all the different sizes
If you’re charging for the app you have to give some financial info to the app stores

Submit for Review:
Amazon took longer than I thought to approve (about 5 days)

Post-release:
Get OpenFeint approval for the apps(if applicable)
E-mail app review sites asking them to review
Tweet about it

I’m sure there are some that I’m missing, so if anyone thinks of some others feel free to add. [import]uid: 24628 topic_id: 12503 reply_id: 46328[/import]

Here are a few promo codes for the iPhone version. There’s a lite version for Android that’s free. Any feedback is appreciated!
