My first Corona app, “Rocket Sled”, has been released.
In what is possibly the world’s least realistic bobsled simulation, you drive your rocket-powered sled along an icy course. Avoid flipping over or falling in holes, while doing the most impressive jumps.
It’s free on the iOS app store (it uses a small iAd on the ‘game over’ screen).
Corona made it easy to get a prototype of this app up-and-running quickly, which was great. It’s still a fair bit of effort seeing the app through to completion though (including setting up all the Game Center achievements etc).
It feels as if the ‘last 10%’ of the app development takes about 50% of the time!
