Rope Joint Doesn't Work

Hello! I’m using current public version (2012.971) 

I tried to implement rope joint which is described in your documentation (http://docs.coronalabs.com/api/type/Joint/index.html#TOC)

but it looks like it doesn’t work at all. Could anybody give me simple example with working code with this joint?

And if it doesn’t implemented to Corona,maybe it is reasonable for coronalabs team to include this item into your roadmap?

Hi @golubev9,

The rope joint (and a few other items on the list you see) are still being tested, so they’re not quite ready to be exposed to developers. Their addition to the documentation was an honest mistake, and I’ll make sure that it’s corrected a.s.a.p. Sorry for the confusion!

I’m hoping sooner than later, but I can’t provide an ETA on this. The groundwork is laid though, so “knock on wood” that it’ll be available before too long. :slight_smile:

I hope rope joint will be available soon. It is very important improvement in box2D. It solves some old problems in this physics engine.
