Samsung seller problems - not enough disk space on G4

Hi all,

I have successfully deployed my application on Amazon and on the App store. Now I want to put it on the samsung app store.

They list 132 devices that can be selected with varying screen resolutions. I decided to send them a binary with ALL devices included, and I was not surprised to see that it was rejected. I was rejected on a G4 also known as Samsung galaxy chat. It has a tiny screen and a physical keyboard, but the screen is in fact a touch screen. I got rejected because the phone complains about not enough disk space when trying to install, but the tester made a video showing that it does have enough disk space on it. I reckon this is a compatibility issue between corona and this Samsung phone (among others?) but I can’t say for sure since I don’t own such a phone.

Does anyone know what devices I have to exclude when using Corona SDK to be able to deploy on the Samsung App store? I am guessing that I can only choose devices under the category “high-level” and “premium”. Has anyone had any experience with the samsung app store that could give me some help?

Thanks guys,

Alex

Is there none who has distributed on the samsung app store? I find this hard to believe

Did you figure something out?  This appears to be a newer issue as I have been submitting to Samsung for some time now without an issue, but just got this rejection.

I eliminated (WQVGA) 240×320, (LQVGA) 240×320, 320×320, (HVGA) 320×480 and (LHVGA) 360×480. I’m not sure if all of them were necessary to be eliminated. I end up with 110 devices out of 131.

I saw this thread about the music problem, where sound doesn’t get suspended.

One of the suggestions was to eliminate HVGA devices so that’s where I got the idea. My app is now live on Samsung.

Someone at Corona should give us a definitive list of what devices to eliminate. I have my app set up for landscape, and the above thread talks about the same exact issue.

Did you get the G4 problem, or the sound problem? My solution seems to fix both so I’m happy about it.

Interesting… I have been eliminating the WQVGA, LQVGA, 320x320 and then removing the Galaxy Cameras specifically for many months now and have been submitting apps successfully.  I then got the storage error on the HVGA device on the latest (Not sure which specific device it is, will find out).  The app says it wont install because there is not enough room; however, the picture clearly shows there is.  Im wondering if it is an issue of the app not installing to the SD card where all the storage is.

I havent ended up having any rejected due to the sound issue.

I’d hate to eliminate more devices than is necessary.  A list would be nice.
