screen capture device's home screen

  Hi all, noob here.

  Title says it all.  I’m wondering if it’s possible to take a screen shot of the android and/or ios home screen?

Please clarify what you mean ‘home screen’

You can take a screenshot of any screen, app, etc. on either device using the screen capture features supplied by each.

However,  Corona apps can only capture their own display space.  So, if you want to write a Corona app to take screen captures of arbitrary screens when it is not in the foreground, that is not possible.
