As we know, solutions change sometimes in a year, sometimes in weeks, even for the same error. Search results from 2011 or 2014 really are irrelevant now. I propose tagging topics older than 3 years as Archived, and filtering them out from searches unless a checkbox to search archived threads is ticked. This seems to work well in other forums.
