Search forum & terminal

This should be really easy to answer. What I’d like is basically two things.

A good search in forum. Right now I find it really annoying and dispersive. I’d really like to search for threads, while the search feature, selecting “forum” as target, shows the forum title. It’s useful to have the thread title title, and a good snippet of what it says.

Second, open terminal from simulator. Having two separate apps isn’t useful. Moreover, the “Corona Terminal” is a bash script, and I can’t add it to the dock on my Mac!

Yea, +100000000 on the forum search… But in the mean time, just use google, it does a pretty good job of finding things.

As for launching from the dock… See Danny’s great tool:

I can bring up the terminal request, though FYI RE the terminal you can add the shortcut to a folder and put the folder on the dock. This is what I do - in this folder I have Corona Terminal shortcut, my text editor and my FTP client.

For the other, trust me, we are working on it - it’s taking longer than it should, I know - but we are getting there. It is also the bane of my own existence >.
Try using Google for now as Rob suggested - hopefully not much longer :wink:

Bringing up the terminal, and ideally even the debugger (but this is a plus), is a must IMO.

Having two apps makes no sense to me: the “terminal” actually runs the simulator itself, it’s a shell script! If you can even run the debugger from the simulator, kudos!

For the forum, I’ll wait patiently and keep using Google :slight_smile:
