Searching the forum

I’ve been on a programming hiatus for about 8 months and am now getting back into Corona. The updates in that time have been fantastic. One thing that is more difficult now than it was before last June, however, is searching the forum. I used to be able to search for all the posts made by a specific author. I can’t seem to find that option anymore. Also, if I want to search the forums, I have to use the search field, which searches the entire site, wait for the results, and only then can I filter the results to just search the forum. Furthermore, searching on my old username returned no results. When I use Google to search the site, however, I’m able to get dozens of hits on my name in the forum. Unfortunately, clicking on those links doesn’t take me to the original posts in many instances and I’m having a hard time locating past discussions I participated in or initiated.

So, am I just missing something? Is there a simple way to search the forums directly? How do I locate all of a specific user’s posts? Etc? [import]uid: 19999 topic_id: 35082 reply_id: 335082[/import]

They are working on improving the forums, but for now the best solution really is to just use google to search the forum… [import]uid: 41884 topic_id: 35082 reply_id: 139510[/import]

It’s always odd when an upgrade results in removing much-used features (e.g., search only the forum). The problem I have with my google searches is that my posts are not necessarily on the pages that google is linking to (I believe this is b/c the pages being linked to are limiting the number of responses to a fixed #). This probably isn’t the most efficient way of doing it, but it’s better than nothing. google this(site:coronalabs.com then after wards append what every you want to search.
Example
site:coronalabs.com dexx
