select png image from photo photolibrary using media.selectPhoto

I wanted to build an app that can select png images from photo library using media.selectPhoto but, all i can select are only jpg images. Is it possible to select png files? if yes, how can i achieve this.

I’m having the same problem.  I can only select JPG files.  No PNG.   Would love to know what the trick is.
