Seller name in appstore

Hi,
Does anyone know how to publish an app with “individual account” without, for different reasons, showing his name. See for example following discussion:

Informations & solutions are welcomed, thanks.

As far as i know, its mandatory with individual accounts (might be wrong) [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 21004 reply_id: 82968[/import]

In Australia at least I know you can register a business name and contact Apple to sell under that rather than your own name - I imagine it is similar in other places too.

However if your country only allows a registered company to use a name, and not an individual who happens to own a business name, then no - it would need to be a company account and you’d have to register a company, something worth researching quite thoroughly as it does complicate tax time a bit.

thanks both for your answer.
@ peach, thank you+, you really are very dedicated in all your answers.

I’m not happy with that, but after one year, I didn’t renewed and stopped my corona license, because I do not want to publish under the present conditions (cf. apple).

I notice there is on the market, assistance and solutions for outsourcing at all stages: coding, designing, creating sounds, websites, etc…, except … for editing apps. I’m sure there’s a niche for a business… “Coronapps Editor”… Would be nice to publish through Corona or another third party… [import]uid: 8970 topic_id: 21004 reply_id: 83119[/import]

Hey there,

You’re welcome  I was just lucky to have some extra experience with this particular issue.

Can you tell me where you are from? If you could register a business name in your location that is often fairly affordable and doesn’t (in some places) require anything additional on your taxes, unlike a Company which certainly does.

For publishing apps yes, that would be handy but publishers are often very selective and want a large cut.
