Send some text from One App to another?

I need to send some text from One app to another and wondered where I should be looking?

Am presuming both devices would need to be running my App and One would need to click Send and One receive, that is fine.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks,

Dave

Just to clarify, you want to send text from one of your apps running on device A to the same app running on device B? Or do you want to send text from app A to app B running on the same device?

Are you concerned with iOS or Android or both?

Rob

Sorry Rob, should have explained.

iOS and apps on separate devices.

Not looked at Corona for about 12 months, so fell behind a bit.

Dave

Look at the OneSignal plugin. It does push notifications and may do what you’re looking for.

Rob

There is an iCloud plugin that you can send between devices on the same iCloud account. There is an auto lan plugin that sends data to device on the same wifi. If you want communication between devices not the same network look at Coronium or game kit

Just refresh page an saw robs post and then looked back your post. You would need a push service for Coronium and one signal is free so I would go with that if it works. Coronium is great is you need to do background process(jobs).
