Sending text and image to printer

So I know so many people have asked about how to print text and images to the printer. I read where someone asked this and here is the reply that was given:

We offer the Activity plugin (iOS) and the Social plugin (Android). Both offer printing of Text and an Image. This should provide the needed printing facilities.

Is this true? How in the world is printing done with either of these? Is there any examples somewhere? Or does anyone have another suggestion on printing from an app? I really do not want to go through any type of online service because there may not be any network available where they are.

If anyone has examples of doing this for both iOS and Android however for text and/or images then that would be awesome!!!

Then build these two examples and install them on your iOS device to test.
