Settings to control minimum iOS version?

While testing my game (used build 761) I couldn’t drop the build on an old iPhone (iPhone2,1). Xcode tells me the minimum iOS version should be 4.3.

First: why does the automatically generated info.plist have iOS version 4.3 in it?
Second: how can I change this so I might drop it on the old iPhone and test?
Third: Are there features (apart from the obvious ones like Siri or a front facing cam) that can force a build into this minimum of iOS4.3?

Oh, I tried manually changing the version in the info.plist in the build, but I could not get it on the phone because Xcode tells me the signing isn’t valid. I get it gets broken when you touch the info.plist?

Thanks!

IOS 4.3 is the minimum requirement from version 707

This was a apple move if im correct, things like game center require 4.3 as a minimum [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 23409 reply_id: 93795[/import]

Build 704 (and 704A) has a minimum OS of 3.2 and you can use that for older phones. The minimum OS of 4.3 was introduced starting with build 707.

The change allows us to reduce the APP size by removing the ARM6 libraries. It also means we can use APIs that are only available in the later OSes. Apple has dropped support for the older phones and the usage for the older phones is very small compared to phones using 4.3 and newer. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23409 reply_id: 93798[/import]

Right, thanks.
Guess it had to happen at some time.
I’ll get my hands on a 3(GS) and test the 320x480 resolution on that.

After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any method you can remove me from that service? Thanks!
