Should I worry before sending my app to Apple? (The executable was signed with invalid entitlements)

Hello guys.

I recently upgraded my Macbook OS (Yosemite) and I am using the latest Corona SDK. I now noticed that if I try to load a test app to my device using the STORE provision profile, it says (in xcode)

The executable was signed with invalid entitlements

The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile. (0xE8008016).

I can load the adhoc version to the device just fine. I do not usually test the STORE version on a device and  I maybe wrong but I think I did couple times in the past and it loaded ok (again I could be wrong since I normally only test the adhoc version of the app and then build with the store provisioning just before sending the build to Apple.

Long story to just to ask if I need to worry about the error message above when I try to load a STORE version to my device. Now I am not even so I can load a store version to a test device in the first place!

Any info will be greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hi Mo,

You can’t test an app built for App Store distribution on a device. That version is solely for submitting to Apple.

Take care,

Brent

Hello Brent

So sorry for the delay. Yes I think I remenbered wrong (I thought in the past I was able to load a store version) I tried with all my past app and of course I was wrong! Yes I was able upload to Apple without any issue.

Thank you so much for confirming that my memory is going down the tube with me getting older

Cheers.
