Simulator crash on Win8.1

Hi,

I have a big problem. I´m using Corona Simulator on Win 8.1. Yesterday the Simulator crashed while debigging. Since then I can´t open a project (the simulator crushes every time).

I tryed to reinstall the Simulator - same Problem.

Is there any file I have to delete? …or another way to fix that?

Thanks

Hendrik

Hi Hendrik,

Does it crash only when you try to open a specific project? Or does it crash on every load?

Thanks,

Brent

Hi Brent,

it crashes on every load. I can open the Corona.Debugger.exe, but when I try to open or create a project it crashes.

When i debug the error with visual studio I got the folowing error (german):

“Ausnahmefehler bei 0x5445FF7B (atigktxx.dll) in Corona Simulator.exe: 0xC0000005: Zugriffsverletzung beim Lesen an Position 0x00000000”

I know that could be an ati driver problem … so I updated all driver. The Problem is still the same.

Hi Hendrik,

Can you go into your Windows system and delete all Corona-related settings, then re-install? For example, look around inside the “AppData” folder and subfolders and look for Corona-related files. Remove them then try to re-install fresh.

Thanks,

Brent

Hi Brent,

I tried that, but it didn’t helped.

Finally I completetly deleted my ATI graphic Dirver - and it works.

I’m not happy with this solution, but I hope Win10 brings a better way.

Thanks.
