Simulator Login Prompt

I have purchased the $349 iOS/Android developer version. I had Corona SDK installed on my PC and my Mac. Everything was fine.

Then I got a new machine and de-authorized Corona from my first PC, uninstalled Corona from my first PC and installed Corona on my new PC.

So far, so good.

However, for occasionally quick tests I like to use my old machine. I know I cannot use daily builds on it, so I installed the most recent stable build (704).

Unfortunately, when I try and launch it on my old PC, I know get the sign-in screen. Something, somewhere, thinks I need to sign in. I should be able to use the “Trial” version on that machine, but because I had once had a Full version, I can no longer use the Trial.

I followed the instructions found somewhere on your site to edit the registry and remove the “Ansca/Corona” key, prior to installing the stable build. Still get the log in.

As I mentioned to Walter at the Dallas meetup, I’d be glad to buy another copy if it were discounted a little, since this is just a spare machine. He indicated that wasn’t currently an option. Odd that you’d rather get zero dollars than say $149, for someone who had already registered, but that is Ansca’s business decision so I am fine with it.

However, please tell me how I can get the stable build running WITHOUT having the sign in dialog come up?

[EDIT] Looks like I just had to use a new email account to make a new Corona account. I’m guessing this also means that if I was going to pay for another license I would have to use a different email account (1 dual license per email, right?). one pro copy can use both mac and windows. I am having the same issue right now, and just renewed my lic last month and it just expired… something screwball going on - i emailed support and so should you… they will reset your id which would force you to reset it on both pc’s, happened to me once last year as well.

Larry, your issue is different to what Ken is describing I believe. (He isn’t having an auth issue on two machines but an issue trying to use a third.)

Ken, I will bring up your concerns in our next meeting. In the meantime, yes, you’d use a second email address to authorize more than 2 machines. (I currently use two licenses myself.)

Sorry I mis-read that part. you’re 100% right. my bad.

Is there a way to fix my issue fairly easily? I get the popup as soon as I click the simulator now, I don’t even think its hitting the web to validate anything.

Hey Larry,

I actually saw and responded to your other post just a little earlier today - I will check back in there in a moment to see if you’ve updated. (I suggest some steps you might try.)
