Slider widget sensitivity

Hi all,

Quick question about the slider widget.

I have just created a demo app containing one slider and a few other bits and bobs and loaded it up onto my iPhone 4. Playing around with the slider seems pretty tricky and you have to be deadly accurate else you seem to ‘miss’ the slider altogether.

Has anyone else noticed this with sliders and is there anything that can be done to make the slider easier to hit?

Hello,

We’re working on an improved version of the widget library, and I’ll definitely make note of this when we get to slider widget improvements.

Another problem with the slider widget is that currently when you place it into a display group, it messes up the width property of the display group, so we’ll be looking to address that as well.

Thanks again for your feedback  [import]uid: 52430 topic_id: 16281 reply_id: 60735[/import]

Hey Beebe,
Thank you for looking into that! I am still learning but I am looking forward building apps (not games by now) and any improve you guys get for the widget library would be even better!

Thanks for the support.

+1 Slider Update…

Another issue is that you MUST drag the actual slider handle. If you just click somewhere on the track (as you can with native sliders), it does not update the value for the new handle location or make the callback.

Can we get an ETA on the next version??

Thx,

I don’t know if it was changed in a recent daily build, but tapping somewhere on the slider bar does trigger the callback and update the handle’s position for me.

Anyway, +1 to the main issue too - it gets annoying real fast. Thanks! [import]uid: 41955 topic_id: 16281 reply_id: 61903[/import]
