When the orientation changes, currently, the stage changes immediately to the new orientation. On the iPhone/iPad, the black border rotates smoothly.
Corona should smoothly rotate the stage for us. Really!
I have seen Corona fixes, but they require a lot of recoding, and frankly, we shouldn’t have to handle the stage rotating smoothly.
