I think the first angry birds was made with LUA which is used by Solar2D previously Corona engines

Angry Birds was proprietary not Corona unfortunately… the outcome of Corona might have been very different otherwise.

What does “popularity” and the game engine have in common? The answer is zero.
Educational point, a game might have 1 million downloads in India and be worth less than a game with 10,000 downloads in the US.

@alybama If you’re trying to understand if Solar2D could pull off different kinds of games, those two lists contain great examples. Some of those games are popular, some were featured on storefronts and some have their own niche. Engine/framework can pull it off. It’s up to you to make a good game.
