Hello! Trig and Geometry were favorites of mine in HighSchool. Of course, that was 20 years ago and I’ve forgotten a great deal since.
I have my player object and enemy object at different locations. I swiped some of John Beebe’s “GetAngle” code to get the angle of the enemy in relation to the player (it return 0 - 360 degrees).
My question is this: How can I apply the *same* amount of force to my bullet object no matter what angle the enemy is in?
I can get the rise/run stuff by getting the distance using the Pythagorean theorem and apply the force like that but of course the force changes depending on how far or close the object is.
So to recap…shoot arrow pew pew at enemy with the same amount of force no matter how far or close the enemy is.
Am I making sense? I hope so. Appreciate any help!
[UPDATE} Ah HA!
