Hello!
I am new on Corona Sdk, I have the free version for the moment. I am writing here because I would like some advice on how to start to use the site (API,etc.), choosing the best ide and program to create layer, maps and sprite. I use Windows.
Thank you very much!

Hello
thank you for answering, i’m reading the link but i don’t find the IDE argument, i read in internet that Outlaw is the best ide for corona but when i look for it in the forum, many people use Glider.
Thank you very much!
Well the best choice of IDE is a subjective one - you’ll have to just surmise people’s opinions on the matter and choose what fulfills your criteria regarding functionality, cost, etc…
FWIW I love Glider - despite its hefty requirements on my ageing MBP.
I personally use CodeHelper (now Animo Code) and I haven’t had any issue with it whatsoever.
You can download a free trial to test it out.
Hope you find something that works best for you.
Cheers!

Hello!
I tried the free version of Outlaw today but i noticed some bugs when i deactivated files and i think the problem is the free version. Now i would like to try Glider, but the problem is about the settings at the moment. I only linked the corona simulator on the IDE, but i need other settings and options. Can you link or explain the settings or library to insert on Glider’s options? Another problem: today i tried Tiled and i saw the only tutorial video on you tube, but i didn’t understand how to insert the Tiled library on Corona simulator. Where can I insert the library and where can i find these on the Tiled folder? Now i will also download the trial version of CodeHelper and i will see between Glider and CodeHelper what is better.
Thank you very much.
You’ll need to use/build a tiling solution to take the tiled format and build the tilemap in Corona.
The easiest option is to re-use a solution already out there; Caleb P and no2games are working on an open-source engine, and there’s the insanely brilliant MTE.
Hello!
I did the research on the forum and took me on the post that I had already seen previously for this plugin, I watched the video, the problem is that the folder that shows the video there is a file called tiled.lua, I have Ceramic outer downloaded the plugin, but i do not have that file, certainly i do something wrong. Could you explain how to add this library in corona sdk?
Thank you so much
