I found some great Homer Simpson sounds like D’oH! That I really want to use. The website says they are free to use, but is that true? I know there are websites that say “these” pics are free to use but in reality they stole the pics. Are “famous sounds” free to use in our games? I am talking about 3 seconds and less. Not whole sentences or songs.
If they are free, any suggestions on where to get other wonderful recognizable sounds like the ones produced by Homer?

Those are most certainly not free for commercial use. Websites such ad opengameart.org or freesound.org host free (public domain or free for commercial use) SFX assets.
